This resource is a map of the oil and gas pipelines. https://digital.atlas.gov.au/datasets/digitalatlas::gas-pipelines/about The Oil and Gas Pipelines Database contains known spatial locations of onshore and offshore pipelines or pipeline corridors used to transport natural gas, oil and other liquids within Australias mainland and territorial waters. Onshore pipelines are represented as polylines for Qld, NSW, Vic, Tas, and SA, and polygons/corridors for WA and NT. Offshore pipelines are represented as polylines for WA, NT and Vic. Pipeline data has been provided by Petrosys GPinfo as of 24 August 2022. More information available at www.gpinfo.com.au. No effort was made to revise, value add and/or spatially improve the datasets. For the purposes of this dataset a Pipeline is defined as: A linked series of pipes, with pumps and valves, used for the conveyance of gas, oil and liquids. For the purposes of this dataset a Corridor is defined as: A passage of land in which a pipeline and the facilities of a pipeline operator have the potential to transverse, including rights-of-way and easements over and through public or private property

This resource is the 2022 offshore petroleum acreage release. The 2022 Petroleum Acreage Release comprises 10 areas located across four sedimentary basins: the Bonaparte Basin, the Browse Basin, the Gippsland Basin and the Northern Carnarvon Basin. Work program bidding for the 2022 release areas will remain open until 2 March 2023. For more information on investing in offshore petroleum exploration, including the acreage release map booklet and diagrams, refer to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. For information on the 2022 acreage release areas visit the Department of Industry, Science and Resources website. The release areas can also be viewed interactively via the Acreage Release persona on Geoscience Australia's Data Discovery Portal.

This resource is a Spatial Representation of the boundaries of 2D Reprocessed Seismic Surveys (applying updated processing techniques to existing 2D seismic surveys). Data is derived from the National Offshore Petroleum Information Management System (NOPIMS). https://nopims.dmp.wa.gov.au/Nopims/GISMap/Map While every effort is made to ensure that surveys are correctly located on the map, their location is only an aid to search and discovery of survey data. Proper submitted navigation/position data associated with the survey should be used to correctly locate a survey Disclaimer Surveys are spatially represented in NOPIMS by their post-plot navigation (i.e. actual survey data acquired and not the planned or pre-plot navigation). 3D surveys are spatially represented by their full fold data polygon (i.e. actual seismic data coverage), if this is not available the four sided binning polygon will be used instead. This means that the data coverage for a survey will most likely be less than its spatial representation. 2D surveys are spatially represented by "ends-and-bends" lines derived from the P1/90 processed navigation. For some older surveys, or where proper P1/90 navigation is not available, the survey lines are derived from digitized maps or other navigation data of unknown source, but verified against other available information.

This dataset represents the boundary of the National Offshore Petroleum Titles in accordance with the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act (OPGGSA) 2006. As defined by the act the dataset is based on the Australian Geodetic Datum to determine the position of the 5 minute graticular blocks. This dataset is derived from NOPIMS well information available through www.nopims.gov.au
