Reefs and shoals - Queensland
This dataset displays the reefs and shoals within Queensland maritime waters.
The data has been compiled from numerous sources to produce a state wide coverage. Attributes within the data describe the source and reliability of the data. Data sources include:
- The Great Barrier Reef Base Map
- Geoscience Australia 1:250000 Topographic Mapping

Resource lineage
- Statement
- Data was obtained for reefs within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park from The Great Barrier Reef Base Map. For reefs outside of the marine park, data was obtained from Geoscience Australia's 250000 Attributes: FEATURE - Unique feature type that identifies the topographic feature e.g. Reef TYPE - For use in ESRI Geodatabase only (display purposes) NAME - The name of the feature (if available) INDIGENOUSNAME - An indigenous name of the feature (if available) ALTERNATENAME - An alternate name of the feature (if available) FEATURERELIABILITY - Reliability date of the source information FEATURESOURCE - The imagery, map or data that the spatial location of the feature was obtained from. ATTRIBUTERELIABILTY - Reliability date of the document or authority that the name of the feature was acquired from. ATTRIBUTESOURCE - The source (imagery, map or data) used for attributing (naming) of the feature. If no name is present then the attribute source will be the imagery, map or data used to define the feature type PLANIMETRICACCURACY - The standard deviation of the horizontal positional accuracy TEXTNOTE - A comment field GBRMPA_REEF_ID - Unique ID allocated by the marine park authority
