- Statement
- Step 1: Search for data or reports providing information regarding the age and gender of people who work in the fishery. Step 2: If data are available: - Identify the number of gender cohorts which are present. If one gender is represented in fishery participants, assign a value of 1. If two or more genders are represented, assign a value of 2 or more. - Identify the number of age cohorts represented in fishery participants using the following age cohorts: 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65 +. Assign a value equal to the number of age cohorts represented by the fishery participants. Sum the values obtained. If no data are available for the fishery, report "Data not found" and the year of data collection for the framework. Step 3: If the total value obtained is > 2, report a diversity score of "High". Report a diversity score of "Low" for a total value of 2. Report the data’s year of provenance and/or publication where available.
