Resource lineage

Statement
Icebergs were manually digitized by drawing around the visible edge using GIS software. The resulting polygon was used to calculate a surface area. Within each image only icebergs over a certain size were selected (size dependent on image resolution) and only icebergs that could be easily distinguished from sea ice floes were used.
