Statement
The datasets listed in this metadata catalogue are secondary data assets which were collected and used in a historical analysis of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic of the Australian Seafood Industry. Types of impacts assessed included impacts on: seafood production volume and value; seafood supply chain activity; seafood market access and demand; recreational fishing activity; customary and commercial fishing by Traditional Owners and Indigenous communities; Australian seafood consumer behaviours and preferences; employment, businesses numbers and business turnover in commercial fisheries and aquaculture. Levels during the COVID19-effected period (Jan 2020-June 2021) were compared with historical levels across the previous 5 years.
