- Step 1: Determine the jurisdictional boundary for the fishery. Ideally, this information will exist as a spatial dataset. If not, create a spatial dataset (a rough shape, probably a rectangle) from the coordinates associated with the fishery licence. Step 2: Extract the Food Supply Chain Index (as described in Fulton and Sainsbury (2024)) for this region. Step 3: Report the Food Supply Chain Index and the data’s year of provenance and/or publication where available. Note: This indicator is aspirational and based on data that has not yet been calculated - Its inclusion in the framework is to create a placeholder for an indicator to be used in ecosystem-based management in the future.
