Report

Measure description
Polygons +/10m. Positional accuracy of polygon linework noted in the field "Pos_Acc" which gives a reliability code as either A, B, C or D for high, moderate, low and very low confidence in accuracy. The level is derived on the basis of positioning and the frequency of survey sites and the distinctiveness of discrete boundaries.

Report

Measure description
Attribute accuracy of polygons, in particular the fields denoting species and cover, is noted in the field "Att_Acc". This reliability code is given as either A, B, C or D for high, moderate, low and very low confidence in accuracy. The level is determined on the basis of reliability of field observations and interpretation from the oblique aerial photos.

Resource lineage

Statement
Capture from aerial imagery and validated using Global Positioning System (GPS) Surveys.

Dataset

Resource lineage

Statement
The field, "cover", provides a description of the visually estimated ground cover of the coral and is generally classed as either: · Sparse: 0 25% · Medium: 25 50% · Med Dense: 50 75% The fields "massive", "branching" and "plate" refer to the morphological characteristics of hard coral present within the polygon. The field "soft" refers to soft coral and the field, "sponge" refers to sponges. The values of these fields "dominant", "minor" and "even" refer to the approximate proportion of these invertebrate types within the polygon.
