Step 1: Determine whether a formal management plan or other type of less formal management regime is in place for the fishery. If no plan/regime is found, determine the jurisdiction (state/territory/commonwealth) in which the fishery operates. Identify the jurisdiction management plan/regime for commercial fishing. Step 2: Determine whether the plan/regime explicitly and actively takes short- and long-term climate change into account. Is climate change considered in the setting of TAC/TAE? Does the stock assessment take into account the effects of climate? Are there provisions in the plan/regime to reduce the fishery's contribution to climate change (e.g. through shifts towards renewable energy)? Step 3: If explicit provisions for/consideration of climate change are found in the fishery or jurisdiction management plan/regime, report "Presence" and the data's year of provenance and/or publication (for the most recent source) where available. Otherwise, report "Absence" and the year of data collection for the framework.
