Resource lineage

Statement
Sample size from each site is typically 200 animals/site, across a broad size range. Collection at each site ranged across 20m - 100m of reef. Additional abalone collected around the size at maturation at some sites, if insufficient animals in that size collected in the first collection. Processing of animals was done in two ways; 1) at the Marine Research Laboratory, Taroona with additional shell morphometric data recorded; 2) at sea where shell length, shell fouling, sex, and from 2004 onwards qualitative gonad state.
