Data appendices for: Kerguelen Plateau: Interplay between a mantle plume, microcontinents and ocean spreading ridges
This record includes datasets pertaining to the appendix of Jeremy Asimus' thesis. This includes:
Appendix A: Unpublished major, trace element and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotope analyses from volcanic and continental rocks dredged at Gulden Draak Rise, Batavia Rise, Dirk Hartog Ridge and the Naturaliste Plateau within the Perth Abyssal Plain. These rocks were collected by the Southern Surveyor (SS2011_V06 voyage and SS2005_V09).
Appendix B: Unpublished monazite U-Pb geochronology results from a metapelite (D03_002) at Rig Seismic Seamount. This metapelite was collected by the RV Investigator.

- Rocks were collected by dredging onboard various scientific voyages by the FV Southern Surveyor and RV Investigator. For geochemical and geochronological analytical methods please refer to the information presented within this dataset. Five files are included within this data repository. The first three files are spreadsheets containing whole rock major, trace element and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic results from rocks dredged in the Perth Abyssal Plain. These include continental dredged at Batavia Rise and Gulden Draak Rise (Batavia_Gulden_Draak_continental.xlsx), volcanic rocks dredged at Gulden Draak Rise and Dirk Hartog Ridge (Gulden_Draak_Dirk_Hartog_volcanic.xlsm) and continental rocks from the Naturaliste Plateau (Naturaliste_Plateau_continental.xlsx). The last two files include a spreadsheet with the raw monazite U-Pb results from metapelite D03_002 dredged at Rig Seismic Seamount (D03_002_mnz_UPb.xlsx). This has been interpreted by CODES laboratory staff to have a single concordant population with a weighted mean age of 1154 Ma, provided in the WDKE_plot.png file
